TSC ME240 Series Wins 2013 Taiwan Excellence Award
Taipei, Taiwan – April 23, 2013 – TSC Auto ID Technology Co., Ltd. (TSC), a leading innovator in the design and manufacturing of thermal barcode printer technologies, is honored to report that ME240 series label printer has been chosen from among 1,221 products to receive the prestigious 2013 Taiwan Excellence Award, which recognizes Taiwan's most innovative, high-quality and high-value-added products. The award was presented April 2 at the Taipei International Convention Center.
More than 483 companies – the highest participation ever – vied for honors in the latest competition, submitting a total of 1,221 product entries – a 6.64 percent increase from last year.
"We are extremely proud to be singled out for recognition from such an impressive group of companies," said TSC President Sam Wang. "It once again underscores TSC's growing reputation for product quality, innovation and value."
About Taiwan Excellence Award
The award selection was based on five criteria: R&D, design, quality, marketing and MIT manufacturing, a fifth measure that was added this year. Each product was evaluated by an international panel of judges and had to score equally well in all five categories to be selected. The judges spent more than two months evaluating the written proposal for each product and another four days examining the product's onsite performance.
Registered in more than 77 countries, the distinctive Taiwan Excellence Award logo symbolizes Taiwan's commitment to the highest standards of product design and manufacturing.
The Taiwan Excellence Award competition is organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. It has been held annually since 1992 to help promote product innovation in Taiwan's industries.
